Zen Kernel 2.6.24-zen1 Released! |

I am happy to announce that the Zen kernel has it's first "stable" (they have all pretty much been anyway) release! 2.6.24-zen1 incorporates the 2.6.24 Zen kernel with tons of enhancements that can only be discovered by compiling or simply trying the prebuilt kernel.
Click the menu to the left or go here to see the Zen Kernel page to download! Currently, Debian packages are available for Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and the like, as well as Debian. RPM packages may come in the future. You WILL notice a drastic speed increase. Couple that with preload, and your system will fly!
Please note that many have difficulty running proprietary nVidia drivers with this kernel. If you can't build them, please post about it in the Ubuntuforums Zen thread. We're working on getting deb packages made to alleviate this problem, too.
