Free Will vs. God's Election
Sunday, 05 November 2006
The argument involving free will vs. election by God is a hot-button issue right now. When it comes down to it, it doesn't matter either way. We all know that God is sovereign, and perfect in all of His ways. Whatever His ways are, they are perfect, and I don't think we should question them. Whether or not He chooses us, or we are given the choice to choose Him, we should make our focal point Jesus. The divisive issues aren't something we should argue or think about. Just know both sides of the argument, believe what you want to believe, and don't argue about it. This causes division among the people that make up the Church, and division is the last thing we need in the world of Evangelical Christianity.

there is no way you can be saved by noon and lost by midnight and then saved
again the next day and lost the day after this is foolish thinking!!!

I agree. I personally believe in eternal security. Saying one can lose salvation
makes Jesus less than all-powerful. I just don't like division amongst the Body
of Christ.
