Websense Blocks Paypal??!?
Thursday, 01 March 2007
Why does my college have to use the Websense filter? It uselessly blocks sites that aren't "inappropriate." Some sites it started blocking recently include Paypal (WHAT THE HECK!!?), as well as I-Hacked, which is a site about modifying electronics. That site involves very little nefarious activity. What's next? Are they going to block Google?

My solution: use Torpark. It was hard to get, since its download site was also blocked, but I typed in "intitle:index.of torpark" into Google and found a directory with the file...So that works..Another solution is to use LogMeIn and a remote computer.

Whatever the case, these filters contribute to my high tuition costs (and they constantly inflate), as well as stress.
