Digg Users' Apparent Bias
Monday, 13 November 2006
It seems that the users on Digg are quite discriminatory towards people who don’t share their ideas. No matter how “accepting” many of them claim to be, they still are quite petty when you get down to it. Ever since an argument over politics I had in the recent past, it seems that many Digg users have “shunned” me. I submitted, for instance, a link detailing satellite television on the pc, and how to do it. I had over 1000 hits, yet was Dugg only 13 times. It seems that many users are holding a bias against me for my political views. I just request that people on Digg view and Digg/don’t Digg stories based on their story value, interest factor, and the story itself. Please stop judging content by the author. That is really judging a book by its cover. We all know how much good that does.
