Digg-Spañol
Tuesday, 07 August 2007
Has anyone else noticed the growing number of articles in Spanish on Digg? I look at the upcoming articles list, and I see anywhere from 5 to 10 stories in Spanish. I belive in equal access for everyone, across all ages. We see other articles in Digg from various languages, and I believe all of these have their place, but it does seem unfair to those who speak languages other than English, since their stories can never make it to the front.

Therefore, to be bold, I propose Digg add multilanguage support. That way, these stories that probably have good merit and value can make it to a front page- regionalized for their language...

Anybody have any thoughts on this one?

Thx for your words, and sorry for my English.

We have a popular Digg Clone,
Meneame. Buy I think not bad idea do a Idiomatized DIgg versión. Digg is bigger
than English people.

@aNieto2k. How right you are!

@MattParnell - Maybe it is all part of
DIGG's master plan to attract more people from other countries. The stuff that
is on the front page is supported by the greatest number of people right?
So if
you post a Spanish story you are attracting Spanish speaking people right? Now
if you really want to promote your story to the top you need to bring more of
your language speaking peeps over to DIGG.

Other than that they might offer a
filter in your profile to express forbid or allow foreign content.
