Have A File for Me to Post? Put it Here!
Monday, 11 December 2006
I know that many of you have episodes, movies, and music of Super Sentai, as well as Power Rangers that I do not have. (I haven't posted my stuff yet, but hey..) If you have some mind-blowing file that you want me to review, and possibly post and share, please upload it to my filebox using the form below. The file can be up to 100 megabytes. If you must, rar the file and split it into pieces.

Also, if you have any neat docs or anything that you would like to see posted, or any creations of your own that you would like to see posted, upload them! Zip em' up with a description, and I will review and possibly post them!

Free Alternative to GoToMyPC
Tuesday, 05 December 2006
I have discovered a simple and free alternative to expensive pay services like GoToMyPC. It is called LogMeIn. Provided your purposes aren't commercial, you can have a free account. Just sign up, install the software to the computer you want to control, and then go to another computer. Go to logmein.com, logon, click the computer's name, and your desktop should load when you click "remote," after typing in yet another code for security. It uses 256 bit encryption, and can generate the desktop via a Mozilla extension, ActiveX, html, or java. It works very well. I have found it also lets me access restricted sites from filtered networks, such as my school's, using the broswer on the remote computer. That is one feature I really  like. Currently, I use it to control my download box, which is not at the place I usually surf the net. I like this a lot!

Searching Japanese Sites for Merchandise
Friday, 01 December 2006
I have found a very good method for searching for merchandise on sites like Amazon Japan. (Amazon Japan is one of the few sites I know of in Japan that ships to the United States). When I go to such a site, I usually am looking for Sentai related stuff, so I will use such a search as an example.

First, you need to install the Japanese language pack for your operating system. For me, that is Windows XP. Go to Control Panel (Classic View) >> double-click Region and Language Settings. In the window that pops up, click the Languages tab. Click the checkboxes that say both "Install files for complex script and ...blah blah blah," as well as "Install files for East Asian Languages." Then, after the install process is done, reboot your computer.

Then, go to Wikipedia. If you are wanting to find items related to Abaranger, search and find the Abaranger page. Copy and paste the Kanjii (Japanese Characters) that represent the show's title (they will be in parenthases). Copy everything up to the ",-" .

Then, go to Google Translate and use the url input box (the one at the bottom of the page). Type in the site you are going to be searching. For example here, I will type in "http://amazon.jp." Then, make sure that "Japanese to English BETA" is selected in the translation option box. Then, hit "go."

Once the translated site is loaded, simply copy and paste the Kanjii characters into the search box. Your results will come up. Don't forget that the translation may be a bit rough.

Should you choose to buy anything, you must register, and don't forget the conversion between your currency and that of the Japanese Yen.

There is an easier way to buy stuff from Yahoo! Auctions Japan. You go to Rinkya, a Japanese Auction and Shopping service. You pay a deposit (minimum $100) and can bid up to 5x that amount. You simply then search in English, and bid your items. Rinkya will then pay, and ship the item to you after it is shipped to them. Pretty sweet!

There are sites like Discount Anime DVD.com, which do have Sentai.
Of course, for techno toys, see Dynamism.

Screw Megaupload, Rapidshare, Sendspace!
Tuesday, 28 November 2006
Ok, ok…the title is a little harsh. Those upload services are good, if you have paid an arm and a leg for a premium account. Otherwise, you are stuck waiting anywhere from an hour to a day to download your file. Then, after you wait, many times the file is deleted, and you are back to square one. Because of this, I am really sick of the various download services like Megaupload, Rapidshare, Sendspace, Yousendit, and the like! I collect Super Sentai media, and it is really hard to do because it ends up getting deleted for a week of no downloads. I have been searching long and hard for an alternative. I found a couple.

The best, by far, is Eggdisk. As a free member they give you 6gigs of space. Nowhere does the word “premium” appear on this site (w00t!). The file size limit is 150 megabytes, but if you encounter an upload that is larger than that, just use WinRar to split it up, and then upload the pieces. Unlimited folder creation and use. No file format restrictions, and the files are never deleted. 30 gigs of transfer per month. Right now, they up your space to 7gigs if you plug them on your blog, or in forums, or somewhere. If you go further after that, and do something outrageous, they will increase your bandwidth allotment to 40gigs instead of 30gigs of transfer per month.

Another decent file service is FileCrunch. It, like Eggdisk has free membership, and it has unlimited downloads of the files you upload. The files you upload are tied to your account, and users can comment on the files that are uploaded.

I would suggest trying Eggdisk first.

One more thing:
Even though they try to keep people from being able to, we can search the files that are on these upload sites (Rapidshare, Megaupload, etc…) The current best search site for these upload services is Funfail.

I think that the future is from http://www.rapidsharefiles.net because it allows you to search using not only Google, but Yahoo and a few other engines as well. Their software (located at the bottom of their page) is useful for finding goodies, and is more specific, and easier to use. I suggest using it over their website. Please note that it is in beta, though. Their site doesn't have as much as Funfail indexed, yet. Until then, Funfail is the way to go.

Every Episode of Every Season of Power Rangers
Sunday, 26 November 2006
UPDATE: August 4, 2007

These links are all dead. If you want to get the episodes, most can be found between Henshin Empire (formerly Power Ranger Empire), Rangerboard, or any of the other links in the Power Rangers section.

Every episode of every season of Power Rangers (up to season 13) is available for download from Rapidshare and megaupload. The links are either on the website below, or the text file I am hosting. If a link doesn't work, let me know and I will try to upload the file, since I used these links a few years ago to get the episodes. You may want to get a premium account so you can do one-click downloading with these sites, and perhaps use their download managers.

Get the links from the site here, or use this text file I have here, in conjunction with firefox, greasemonkey and linkify.

If any of the episode links don't work, check out and join Power Ranger Empire. Then, see the Red Savage Warrior episodes section.
